Recent Haiti Earthquake August 14, 2021
Haiti experienced another devastating earthquake (7.2 magnitude)on August 14th at approximately 8:30 a.m.
As of August 23, 2021, more than 2200 people were killed and over
12, 200 people were injured. 300 people are still missing and nearly
53,000 houses were destroyed.
Haiti had already been challenged by trying to recover from the 2010 earthquake and the assassination of their President Jovenel Moise on July 7, 2021.
Individuals and organizations throughout Maine have been
mobilizing to assist Haiti.
