Christy Comeau-Pierce received her degree in music from the University of Maine in Orono.  The recipient of numerous awards in singing, Ms. Comeau-Pierce has performed with The University of Maine Singers, Opera Workshop Productions, the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, and the Portland Opera Repertory Theatre.  Following two years of extensive, successful treatment for cancer,  Christy joyfully invites you to share in this personal and collective celebration of life and the healing powers of music and community.

“Music is a common language of the human experience, expressing the pain as well as the joy.  I was so moved seeing and hearing the courageous and resilient people of Haiti raising their voices in hymns of praise after enduring unimaginable suffering, and it was this outpouring of  the human spirit through music that moved me to add my voice to theirs.”         Christy

Proceeds from the concert will benefit Konbit Sante Cap-Haitien Partnership, a Maine-based organization working to save lives and improve health care in northern Haiti by building local capacity in all aspects of the health system - from door-to-door community outreach programs, to strengthening community health centers, to improving care at the regional referral hospital.  www.healthyhaiti.org.
