Eastport January 30, 2010 Dinner Raised Significant Money To Help Haiti

On Saturday, January 30, 2010, two residents from the Eastport area attended

a fundraising dinner, bake sale, and Chinese auction, for the Haitian relief efforts, at the Eastport Marine Technology Center.  Almost $4,000 was raised

and committed to a Haitian orphanage.

According to the Bangor Daily News article, more than sixty-three businesses

from Maine and New Brunswick donated items for the raffle and auction and

more than seventy people baked and cooked.
