Perplexed about what to give a friend or family member as a holiday gift?

Consider a donation to Konbit Sante in their name.  Konbit Sante staff and volunteers will be at the Alternative Gift Market being held at Space Gallery, 538 Congress St. in Portland, Maine on December 2, from 5-8 pm as part of First Friday Art Walk.  The purpose of the market is to provide shoppers with a meaningful alternative to object based gift giving while celebrating and supporting local non-profit organizations.  At Space Gallery, shoppers will learn about local non-profits and can decide to make a difference by giving back to the community and donating in someone's name.  With each donation, they will choose from a selection of limited edition, hand printed cards designed by three local artists.  It is an opportunity for Konbit Sante to raise money and tell our story.  Stop by and say hi!

Directions are available to the Space Gallery, and you can call Konbit Sante for more information or to make a special holiday gift at (207)347-6733

About Konbit Sante

Since 2001, Konbit Sante staff and volunteers have worked in collaboration with the Haitian Ministry of Health and other partners to build local capacity in all aspects of the health system - from door-to-door community outreach programs, to strengthening community health centers, to improving care at the regional referral hospital.  In Haitian Creole, a konbit is a traditional Haitian method of working together to till your friends' fields as well as your own - working together toward a common goal.  The word sante means health.  For more information about Konbit Sante-supported programs in community outreach and disease prevention, pediatrics, women's health, procurement and management of medical equipment and supplies, improvement of water quality at the regional referral hospital and more, please visit www.healthyhaiti.org.

Konbit Sante is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation organized in the State of Maine.
