Quilting Supplies

Needed By Life and Hope Haiti

Life and Hope is working to help the community at the Eben Ezer School in Milot play a role in its own future. Among our efforts, Joan Klossner, an incredible quilter from Clinton, NY and Amy's mother-in-law, will be going with us to Haiti May 3 to teach basic quilting to six women, including two teenagers. Once these women can quilt, they can sell the items and help create income for their families or the Eben Ezer School.

We hope to bring a kit for each woman with: a pair of dressmaking shears; embroidery scissors; a rotary cutter; rotary cutter replacement blades; a cutting mat; an erasable fabric marker, a gridded ruler; needles, and thread (even partial spools).

Each kit costs about $100, but any items we get donated will reduce the cost. If you can donate any of these items, we would be very grateful. Let us know if you have anything you can donate and want us to pick up. Thanks so much for all your help.
