Caribbean Night Dance Party
Saturday, April 2 to benefit Life and Hope Haiti
Combo Sabroso will be back at the Portsmouth VFW for a night of food, drink, reggae and Latin dancing.
After a sold-out dance party in 2010, the band Combo Sabroso is returning to Portsmouth with its Latin and Reggae tunes for the second annual Caribbean Nights Party. We invite you to a night of dancing, free food, and friends and neighbors to benefit Life and Hope Haiti Saturday, April 2 at the VFW Hall in Portsmouth.
Before the dancing starts at 8 pm, members of our community who have been to the Eben Ezer School in Haiti, including several teenagers, a doctor and his family, a Rotarian, and a teacher, will show slides and videos and talk about creating a garden, setting up a generator, painting walls and carrying down toys for Christmas in Milot.
A year ago we were arranging a container to Haiti from Portsmouth - now you can find out what happened to that container. In 2009, we had two dozen sponsors for children in Milot - now we have five dozen, many who will be at the dance. Come for a 7 pm slide show, 8 pm party, or both.
Only 200 tickets will be sold. They are available at the Black Bean (Rollinsford), Nature's Way (South Berwick),Ceres Bakery (Portsmouth), Full Circle Thrift Store (Eliot) and Fair Tide Thrift Store (Kitter)y. You can also send a check made out to Life and Hope Haiti to Amy Miller, 37 Highland Ave., South Berwick 03908, or call 207/439-3354.
